As the flowers begin to blossom, a transitional phase of style begins to bloom alongside. I wanted to share my favorite combos/pieces for the change into spring.

First and foremost, no more puffers! The weather is warming up so it’s time for a lighter jacket. My personal favorite is a jean jacket. The “Denim by Pink Oversized Jean Jacket”” from Victoria’s Secret and the “Levi’s ‘90s Repaired Denim Trucker Jacket” from Pacsun are my top two picks. A denim on denim outfit, I think, is so cute. I also love a good oversized jean jacket with a cute skirt. 

If jean jackets aren’t your thing, there are definitely other options. For example, ZARA has a nice jacket called the “Faux Suede Jacket.” It comes “Taupe Brown” and “ECRU,” both of which are adorable. 

You can’t go wrong with a cute long sleeve and a vest. Finding a cute vest that is also super comfy can be difficult. L.L.Bean’s “Women’s Mountainside Fleece Vest” in shade “Shore” is the perfect white vest. If you want more of an oversized vest, I recommend the “Pippa Packable Puffer Vest” from Free People. It is a little pricier, but it is worth it. 

I love a good short skirt and scrunched up sock duo. My favorite two basic skirts are the “Low-Rise Denim Mini Skort” from Hollister and the “Out From Under Bec Low Rise Micro Mini Skort” from Urban Outfitters. As for socks, my favorite basics are the “Everyday Plus Cushioned” from Nike and Athleta’s “Everyday Crew Sock,” specifically in shade “Magnolia White.”

What’s better than a cute short skirt in the spring? A cute long, flowy skirt! If you want a simple white skirt, both Garage and Lulus are cute ones. A cute navy is also adorable, especially the one from Brandy Melville. 

A cute button up cardigan with a tank underneath is the perfect in between seasons combo. Basic tanks are not impossible to find, but the right type of sweater can be. I recommend the “Modern Rib Cardigan” from GAP and the “Relaxed Button-Front Cardigan” from Madewell.

I believe the best transition color is brown; It goes with a lot of colors and looks very chic. From Garage, the “Sleek V-Neck Cami Top” in shade “Armadillo Brown.” You can wear this tank on its own or with a cute sweater/cardigan over it. For another basic brown top, I love the “Frankie Short Sleeve Slash Top” from Urban Outfitters. If you want a cute brown skirt, the “Skort” in “Brown” from ZARA is a great choice. 

Lastly, nothing tops off a cute transitional spring outfit like a simple cloth headband. I feel that Amazon has a wide selection of headbands that are very inexpensive.
