I am an extroverted person, but I also value some time alone. However, spending time alone can be daunting if you don’t know what to do with just yourself. Here are a few ways you can enjoy your time alone.

  1. Try a New Cafe

There is always somewhere new to try near you. Whether you just go to just simply sit or you bring some work to do, being in a cafe by yourself can be so peaceful.

  1. Journal

As you may know from some of my previous posts, I love journaling. I find this to be the most successful way of getting out your emotions cand connecting with yourself. It doesn’t have to be a long elaborate piece of writing, but just a little something to get down your feelings.

  1. Scrapbook

Scrapbooking is one of my favorite crafts. It brings me so much joy to go through photos and make cute pages full of memories. It is the perfect craft to do by yourself to reflect on the recent events in your life.

  1. Tidy Your Room

As much as we all hate to hear it, cleaning your room can actually be enjoyable. Put on some music, relax, and tidy up. I love doing this in my time alone because of how good I feel afterwards.

  1. Spa Day

Pampering yourself. Paint your toenails, do a face mask, take an everything shower, do your hair all pretty. Do anything you want, you don’t have to always paint your nails with your friends.

  1. Do the Project

We all have those projects we save on Pinterest or TikTok that we have been meaning to try for months, so do it! Guess what, you can do it alone too! Go get the supplies, turn on a good show, and enjoy the moment of solitary.

  1. Update Your Mood Boards/Bucket Lists

I like to keep an ongoing list of things I want to do/the vision I am working towards in my life. However, I get busy and don’t have time to update it. So utilising those moments alone to work towards your goals can be helpful for self-growth.

  1. Dance a Little!

Put your headphones on, or blast your speaker and dance around your room. As stupid as it may sound, this is so healing. Just vibing by yourself is possible, I promise.

  1. Try a New Recipe

Even if you aren’t someone who cooks often, try cooking something new and different. It can be a fun learning process and you get an edible end product!

  1. Go Outside

This is so simple, but can be so rewarding. Sometimes I just sit on the grass by myself outside to get my work done. It helps me take a deeper breath and relax. Whether it is the simple act of sitting outside to do your work, or going to a park for a while, just do it. Reconnect with nature a little.
