Looking through the past Vogue covers has got to be one of my favorite activities. While my list of favorites goes on for miles, here are my top 15 favorites with a small description as to why.
January 1950
LOVE. The lips, eye, and beauty spot make the white space nonexistent. The expression you receive from the eye makes the cover that much better.

December 1954
The repetition is so pleasing to look at. This cover is much different from any of their others and I really enjoy it. I wonder if they will do covers similar to this in future.

October 1957
This cover is so creative. The eyes inside the glass is so interesting. It also works really well with the quote “How to find your own beauty” on the cover as well.

October 1960
The fur coat neckline is EVERYTHING. This with the bold lip, chef’s kiss.

March 1962
I am so attracted to the message they display with this cover. I love the way the men blend into one, but the woman, the Duchess of Alba, stands out. The cover is captivating, while also obviously portraying a message.

June 1963
This cover is so effortlessly perfect. I love the shade of green with Celia Hammond’s blonde hair. It gives scandalous with the bare feet, but elegant with the ponytail and dress.

March 1988
Stephanie Seymour has got the slightly surprised, but not really showing it, model face down to the T. On top of this the shape of the earrings, the off the shoulder top, the Vogue shoulder shrug, and the beret, really make this cover perfect.

May 1988
I said before, I love covers with smiles and Estelle Lefébure’s smile is so captivating. There is nothing insanely crazy about this cover, for me, it’s just the smile!

April 1989
Talisa Soto is stunning. I am obsessed with the wet hair and the outfit together. I honestly don’t even know what it is about this cover, I just have such a fondness for it.

November 1990
Oh Claudia Schiffer you are just perfect! I love the earrings with the top. It has such a beachy feel, especially with the hair. Also, I am obsessed with the covers where the models are smiling; it makes the cover so bright.

September 1991
The hair, with the lip, with the earrings, astounding. Claudia Schiffer is also GORGEOUS, as I said before, so that in itself makes the cover.

September 1995
The dresses are stunning. I like the way Shalom Harlow’s features contrast with Amber Valletta. The cover was a contrast to many of the covers surrounding it and is very eye-catching.

October 2002
I love the unique pose; it makes the cover stand out. The silver dress with the silver jewelry works perfectly on Christy Turlington.

April 2005
There is just so much to look at in this photo, I can’t get enough! Drew Barrymore is serving the perfect face, and the LION! I also love the play on Beauty and the Beast.

April 2011
Last, but definitely not least, Rihanna. The hair grabs your attention and as you start to look at the dress, you realize how perfect this cover really is. I have no notes.

Till next Sunday,
Daisy
