As many of us fashion lovers saw, Victoria’s Secret dazzled the runway with a host of models this past Wednesday (Oct. 15). 

Of course the VS shows will never be what they were in the early-2000s, but I did truly enjoy this show! I thought I would share some of my favorites from the runway. 

Who can’t love Barbara Palvin? Her first look in the “First Light” portion of the show was stunning; she looked like a goddess! The bronze dress flowed elegantly as she walked along with her perfectly blown out hair. 

Her second look was just as brilliant in the “Black Tie” segment. She wore a fully silver outfit: a corset top with wings in the front and a mesh like skirt with a slit. It looked as though she was actually sparkling. 

The ensemble worn by Yasmin Wijnaldum during the “Hot Pursuit” section. The set was made of large red sequins and had a cut out in the center. She also sported a lovely blowout (yay! VS blowouts are back!) and a pair of red heels. 

I was a big fan of the different variations of wings as well. I loved the masquerade mask wings worn by Alessandra Ambrosio; they showed an interesting adaptation to traditional VS wings. 

During the “Black Tie” segment Lily Aldridge was wearing firework-like wings which I also enjoyed. I always wonder how they are able to walk so smoothly to keep the delicate wings from bouncing around.

I loved that they opened with Jasmine Tookes and also used it as an opportunity to create a metaphor. They placed her in a clamshell-shaped pair of wings to relate to the title of “bombshell.” Then, they detailed her outfit with pearls to showcase Tookes as a mother of pearl and her baby as the pearl. So creative. 

Last, but certainly not least, I thoroughly enjoyed Irina Shayk’s look during the “Bombshell” portion of the show. She wore a feathery fan-like hair piece with a white set. The ensemble featured a bow on the corset and diamonds detailed throughout.
