Happy New Year everyone! To celebrate the turn of a page I thought I would share with you all what my fashion predictions are for 2026, or at least the trends I will be embracing this year.
- Boots 24/7
I love wearing boots at quite literally any occasion I can. So, this year, I am going to try to wear my boots more, especially with outfits that I would usually shy away from wearing boots with, like long dresses for example. Boots have definitely been taking over in fashion recently, so I can’t imagine the trend won’t continue.
- Moving Out of Clean Girl
While I do enjoy the clean girl aesthetic, veering toward bold and loud styles is what I believe 2026 will hold. This year, I believe, will be one of striking and purposely daring fashion. Embracing vintage looks and fun patterns, less plain and bland looks.
- Shawls
Forming an opinion on shawls can be difficult, especially because the conventionality is questionable. I feel like carrying a bag with a shawl could be more annoying than stylish, however, I love the look of shawls. They are so chic and could be worn casually or as a fancy warm option.
- Ballet Flats with Socks
Second to only boots, ballet flats are my go to shoe. They make me feel and look put together, while also being comfortable. However, during the winter my feet get cold while wearing flats. So, I have started to wear socks with them and that is 100% a trend I will be continuing into 2026. I have also seen others online say they think leg warmers with flats are going to be in style this year; I could definitely see that happening too.
- Handkerchief on Pants
A cute little handkerchief tied on the top of a pair of pants has been something I have wanted to try for a while and 2026 seems like my year. I think it would add a colorful, yet simple, flare to an outfit. Maybe this is a trend that will spread across social media this year, we shall see!
